Saturday

Back2School

How on earth could it be time for back to school?  Summer must have been shorter this year. Brooke and I went with Maleigha and Mackenzie on Thursday, July 19, 2018 for back to school shopping. We spent the day hopping from store to store looking for the clothes that were just right. Both Brooke and Mackenzie are particular about their wardrobes. 😉
Friday, July 20, 2018 was the last summer camp Friday the we had to deliver to this summer. 😔 That makes summers end feel official.  We had dinner at the Rose Garden, which is near the top of my choice restaurants list.  Georgi and Mary came over late evening and hung out on the patio with us while we watched funny YouTube clips on the patio TV.  I love summer nights on the patio.  Storms set in around bedtime and created a nice ambiance for sleeping.
We got our rentals delivered on Saturday, July 21 and then went to moms. We loaded up her chest of drawers and brought them to our house.
I went with daddy for my 4th annual Turkey Town Decoration on Sunday, July 22. I'm so glad I asked daddy about that four years ago. I really enjoy going. Not so much for me, but to watch daddy talk to people about the place where he is from. The second year that I went, Darlene began riding along too. It's a great little adventure with dad to look forward to each year.  This year, he treated us to lunch at Taco Bell afterwards.

After our rentals were picked up for the day, we met up with four others to have dinner on Sonic's patio.  That has become one of our summer traditions with our friends.

The convertible hit 64,000 miles on Monday, July 23.

I had a game changer experience on Wednesday, July 25, 2018.  I experience the Wal-Mart grocery pick up for the first time.  Oh My Goodness!😲😀 That was the best thing ever.

Brooke and I Kayaked the Caney on Friday, July 27, 2018.  That was really fun. I was a little nervous that a boater might flip us over into the frigid water, but we both managed to stay upright the whole ride. There were four "doors" opened on the dam, so we only had to use the paddles to steer. The current pushed us the entire way.

We went to moms Friday evening to meet a lady who was picking up Devin's old bedroom suite.  While we were there, we loaded up moms dresser. I've made it my new goal to move something each week. It is a slow process.
