In Like A Lion...Out Like a Lamb

I finally got the tags for the convertible on Thursday, April 26, 2018. Now I am driving it legally.
Now if this weather will get warm and stay warm like it should be this time of year.

We had our Womens Conference at church Friday evening, April 27, 2018.  "When Plans Change" was the topic.  Darlene came over and went with me.  Spring is finally here. Take a look at our little Red Bud tree.   Mom loved Red Bud blooms 😊

I got up early on Saturday, April 28, 2018 and washed 48 chairs because they were all going out.

We rode out to Granville in the convertible and we were gonna stop and eat at the marina, but we were a week early. Turns out that they don't open until Memorial Day. 😏
We decided to stop in Gainesboro and have lunch at The Spot.

We went to El Tapatio again after church on Sunday, April 29, 2018.
On Monday, April 30, 2018, I went by to visit daddy, stopped and Kevin's for a visit and even swung by Maleigha's on my way home for a little while.

The weather is FINALLY trying to act right these last couple of days.
Although tomorrow, we welcome May...April is finally getting feeling like spring.

Wednesday

Bitter Sweet

I sold the best vehicle that I have ever owned on Tuesday, April 17, 2018. I am comforted by knowing that someone I know is now the proud owner of Blu.  That 2005 Honda CRV has been in my life since December 2004. We have taken trips together, worked together, shared meals together, lost family member together and so much more. I’m am surely gonna miss driving around in the best car ever.

On the upside, Daddy told me take the convertible because he no longer drives it. THANKS DAD.

I had a hair appointment on Wednesday, April 18, 2018. I used to have gray strands here and there, but anymore, she is coloring gray patches.  I don’t think I am mentally stable enough to accept going gray right now.

I tried to make myself feel young and vibrant by putting the convertible top down on the car for the first time. It does make you feel better, but it does nothing to hide the gray.
We had church Wednesday evening and made our routine dinner stop at Cracker Barrell.
It was cold again on Thursday, April 19, 2018 and I am sick of it. The high temperature for the day was 48°.   I need convertible weather 😕
Friday, April 20, 2018, warmed back up. We even had the dunk tank out on Friday. What a weather rollercoaster.  We took some tables and chairs to my mother-in-laws to drop off for Saturday.
We had 6 deliveries on Saturday, April 21, 2018 and we even attended a party ourselves. My brother-in-law was surprised when he came home to a birthday party for him.  There was a ton of great food and many, many people.
We went to church on Sunday, April 22, 2018 and had the rest of the day free to rest.
I cooked a home cooked meal. It was a one pot dish...Baked Ziti.  It was gooood. 😋

Monday, April 23, 2018 was all about Heather day. I went for a manicure, a pedicure and a message

The same day, Brooke had a weird rash come up on her neck.
I don't know what would have caused that.

I joined Dr. Nash for lunch on Tuesday, April 24, 2018. Darlene joined us for dinner at Cheddar's later in the evening.
We had to change up the routine on Wednesday, April 25, 2018, because Cracker Barrell was remodeling the kitchen. We went to IHOP after church instead.

Tuesday

One Year Feels Like Forever

It was my group’s day to provide Breakfast at Church on Sunday, April 8, 2018.  I did the usual cheese Danish and chocolate milk and some fruit.

I took a break from the norm and cooked for dinner on Tuesday, April 10, 2018.
It was good considering that I was the one who cooked it.

I took Wednesday, April 11, 2018 and spent the day reflecting on mom. The day started out cold, but gradually warmed up.
I called Darlene and asked if she wanted to go to lunch and she said yes.  I suggested Captain D’s since it was mom’s favorite.
I went by the cemetery first and then to lunch.

I told Darlene that I had plans to go by Kevin’s and asked if she wanted to go with me.  She decided to come along, so off we went. As I approached the house, I seen Kevin at mom’s trimming trees. Darlene and I pulled up, got out of the car and just stating picking up limbs.  We worked for hours in her yard.  She would have loved to have been there.

We spent the biggest part of the day there. It felt good to hang out with them and spend time at moms. I can’t think of anything in the world that I would have rather done today that spend the day at moms.
I painted a wall blue in the garage on Thursday, April 12, 2018. It really stands out.
We got rid of the shed in our yard too. We really don't need it anymore because we keep everything in the garage nowadays.
the dogs were curious about what we were doing.
We went to Blue Coast Burrito for dinner. As we were riding in the car afterwards, I felt something sticking to the back of my leg. At first, I thought it was from the booth that we had sat at. I finally grabbed it and gave it a yank.
Just as I did, I felt it’s legs move.  Aaaahhhhkkk!   A tick!  I threw it out the window immediately. I was disgusted, grossed out and covered in goose bumps all at the same time.
I guess I had picked it up at moms the day before.
I'm hoping it wasn't any of the bad kinds.
I'm hoping that I don't get sick from it.

I made a trip to Sparta on Friday, April 13, 2018 to let a lady look at Devin’s twin bedroom suite at moms.  She bought it for her son that is fixing to attend TTU. We also had a delivery to make in Livingston Friday evening. I between delivery and pick up, we went to dinner with Gary and Darlene.
Brooke had to take the ACT on Saturday, April 14, 2018.  It was a rainy day all day. We had the entire day free, so we spent it in the garage getting things in order...right after we ramped up on coffee
After church on Sunday, April 15, 2018, we went to El Tapatio for lunch, Sam’s club and visited Mildred for a while.
We celebrated Sterl's birthday at El Tap while we were there.
I found nice sink for cheap on Monday, April 16, 2018.  I took a midday drive to Crossville to pick it up. The scenery was not the norm for mid-April though.. There was snow on the ground.
It warmed up a little throughout the day.
We drove to Sparta Monday evening and picked up the dunk tank.
I sure hope spring is somewhere near.

Sunday

April Fools...Winter Got Jokes

Mother Nature must be playing an April fools prank on us.  Spring still hasn’t arrived here. The weather is still hanging on to winter. The high for April 1, 2018 (EASTER) was just 64.  We had a Livingston and Sparta set up before church. We had baptism's during  church.
We went to Mildred’s for Easter lunch.
I thought about my mom today and wished that we could have had an egg hunt in her yard.
This is the second Easter that she has spent with Jesus. I know she had a good day.
I took time to notice the cherry trees that are in full bloom on Tuesday, April 2, 2018. I love the smell in the air when the breeze blows. Spring blooms remind me of mom too. She always loved spring. I can only imagine springtime in heaven.
We went to dinner at Logan’s on Monday and Devin even joined us. I get excited when he goes with us.
Stroker and I both took Tuesday, April 3, 2018 off and spent the day organizing in the garage to get ready for summer.
We worked so hard on the garage that I didn't get a chance to check my phone all day. There were notifications everywhere Wednesday night.
The barometric pressure was rising too. Take a look at the weather glass...
We went to church and Zaxby’s for dinner on Wednesday, April 4, 2018
The barometric pressure was back down on Wednesday.
Judy and Lee asked us if we had dinner plans on Thursday, April 5, 2018, and we did not. So, we met up with them at O’Charley’s.

We met up with Lee, Judy, Sterl, and Debi at Ruby Tuesday’s on Friday evening for dinner. They were shocked to see both Devin and Brooke with us.

Old man winter reappeared on Saturday, April 7, 2018. It was freezing outside, and it snowed. Why can’t spring get here? We are being robbed of my most favorite season this year. The high was 48 and it wasn’t that high very long long.  I went to visit daddy for a while since I had the day free.

Winter Won't Let Go

There was storms on Monday, March 19. I made chili for dinner and we stayed in.   Winter made a reappearance because it got cold.
We went to a Teen Challenge banquet on Tuesday evening, March 20, 2018.  This is the first time that we attended this banquet.
I used a couple of Chic-fil-a gift cards for dinner at church on Wednesday, March 21. The kids loved the change up from pizza.  We studied the Crucifixion and resurrection for our lesson.
Dr. Nash met me at Craw Daddy's Wednesday for lunch
There was a church building committee meeting Thursday evening. I made a couple of dishes to take over to the meeting. I made moms apple dumplings as one of them.
I tried the new coffee shop Wednesday morning.
I tackled Wal-Mart on Friday evening, March 23. It took a lot out of me, so I just grabbed McDonald's for dinner. I can't handle Wal-Mart and home cooking all in the same day.
We moved tons of stuff into the shop on Saturday, March 24, 2018.
It rained all day, but we stayed at it anyway.
I cooked at home, done laundry, cleaned both bathrooms, stripped the bed and washed the sheets too.
We only had one delivery on Sunday March 25 after church.
I stayed home all day on Tuesday, March 27. I was beat. We did make it to the movies Tuesday evening to watch "I Can Only Imagine".
There was no church service on Wednesday this week, so we had dinner at the Rose Garden.
Church was on Thursday instead because it was Maundy Thursday. We did a lesson on "the tomb was empty" for our class.
We went to the Chris Tomlin Good Friday concert again this year on Good Friday. It was AMAZING just like last year.

We ended the week and the month with a day full of rentals on Saturday, March 31, 2018
