Summer Vacation 2018

Sunday, June 24, 2018: supposed to leave on flight to Orlando, but storms rolled in and I got an email saying flight is cancelled 

I immediately booked a new flight going from Nashville to Baltimore then to Orlando. The downside was that our Sunday flight changed to a Monday flight and our travel time went from 1.5 hrs to 6 hrs.

Monday, June 25, 2018: got a email saying new flight is delayed which means we would not make the connecting flight, had to call and make another flight (the third one). they set us up a flight at 10:55pm which will get us to Orlando at 2am, but said that we could be on standby for a non-stop flight at 7. We went ahead and checked our bags for the 4pm flight in case we got to get on the plane.

We got to airport at 4pm and waited (on standby, but when it was finally time for the 7pm flight, it ended up being completely full. 

 We spent hours at the Airport O'Charley's, Airport Starbucks and the airport shops. 

We also scoured social media which is where I found this typo.

We finally boarded a plane at 10:55 PM. We landed in orlando just before 2 am. We came to the resort, unpacked, and went to bed at around 3:00. 

Tuesday, June 26, 2018 was Erin's birthday! After Voodoo Donuts and a quick birthday party, We had breakfast at Chick Fil a then got to Epcot around 9am and didn’t leave until 9:15ish. As soon as we got to the resort we all took a shower and went to bed.

Erin was harassed all day for her choice of her "spectrum eccentric" shirt.

We took pictures of the girls all over Epcot. I'm so glad that they had the opportunity to take a trip together.

We celebrated Erin's birthday in Italy

...and we had dinner in Morocco.  What a fun day.

Wednesday, June 27, 2018: We went to chick fil a again for breakfast. then we went to Anna Maria Island, Florida to the beach.  

We swam to a sand bar, which was a first for me. We had a snack at the local shack, and took Hooters back to the resort around 9pm and ate.

 The ride home was filled with carpool karaoke.
 Erin was the champion by knowing EVERY word to EVERY 90's jam.

Thursday, June 28, 2018: Went on an airboat ride in the a.m. 

We spent midday shopping. We  went to a glo party at typhoon lagoon in the evening. The water park was so fun (and empty). It was like having the park to ourselves. We rode water slides that night and danced, sang, and got a free mickey straw!!!! 

Friday, June 29, 2018:We went on a boat ride at the lake and traveled through canals in Winter Park Fl. Lunch was at a cute little diner called "The Coop" We spent the evening hanging out at the condo and played at the arcade.

It was a busy week...even busier when you lose a whole day of your vacation. We had a super fun time and would have loved to have stayed longer, but we had plenty to do when we got back to TN.

The flight home was right on schedule.
