Photo Shoot

Her daddy happened to walk through so she made him let her take a couple snapshots of the two of us.

This is me hanging upside down...I was running out of poses.
I finally finished up Brook'e birthday invitations. Just in time too. Her party is next week.

I also finished the shower invitations to Tiffany & Kendal's baby shower. They will go out in the mail tomorrow too.

Pumpkin Guts

It appears that my friend Erin is never going to update her blog and share those Titan's cheerleader pizza party photos hint, hint.
According to my friend Maleigha's facebook profile picture update, she has made another trip to the beach that I haven't heard about.  Your  gonna have to make your profile public so I can check in on you periodically.
As far as Stacia's blog, well I give up...but at least you call me every now and then.

As for me, I keep everybody up to date with all the Hayes House Happenings - no matter how boring and insignificant they are LOL.
Today was pumpkin carving day. I love the smell and feel of pumpkin guts and so does Brookelynn. Devin didn't want to help, but Brookelynn thought of the perfect jack-o-lantern surprise design for Devin's pumpkin. Of course...he loved it!

Our Friends Byrd and April welcomed their new baby boy Tytan (3 lbs. 8 oz.) into the world today.
He is a little early, so say a prayer for him.

Birthday on the Farm

Today, everybody gathered at my dad's to celebrate his 72nd birthday.
I look forward to this celebration every year and thank God each year for blessing us.
Phyllis prepared a big lunch and we all took lots of photos today. The weather forecast was calling for rain, but instead it was sunny and 70 degrees.

Gary, Stroker & Devin spent the day watching the Titan's game...Typical

Busy Weekend

Oops, I am falling behind on my blogging again. I wish I could find the time to do this on a daily basis rather than playing "catch up" twice a week.
Let me think...Oh yeah. Tuesday evening after the whole "bug in the salad" ordeal, we still ended up "eating out" for dinner. We wound up at Fazoli's.
Brookelynn has been practicing the cello more this week. I can't wait till the concert.

Wednesday was the day that Brookelynn and I began working on her birthday party invitations. Her 9th birthday is  just around the corner you know. We are hand making all of her invitations this time, which has ran into a little extra time and effort. I am also helping with her class in their Halloween party next Friday, so I have got a couple of things together for that.
Thursday, my sister and brother-in-law came over so we all went to dinner at Bobby Q's where we found out that even though they have an ad on Cable Channel 7 that states you get a free drink with your meal purchase, they informed us that they are no longer running the special., so you have to pay for your drink too.  Hhhhmmmmm....then why is the ad still running?
Thursday was also Report Card Day and the reports are good. Brookelynn even went all out and brought home straight A's. She even had a 104 average in "Spelling". Yay Brooke!
Friday evening, Devin wanted me to take him and his friend Chase to the movies to see "Jack#&*"...(Donkey as we call it here at the Hayes House).  I had planned to go in with them to buy their tickets since it is rated R, but the girl at the counter said that I not only had to buy their tickets, but I also had to stay and watch the movie (which I had no intention of doing). In the end, no one got to watch the Donkey movie. I personally feel like we didn't miss anything.
Today was a busy one...It started off with Brookelynn's 8am hair appointment, then the  Family picnic at Stroker's work.

Check out the girls arm that is serving the cotton candy.

I won a big jar of Mary Jane Halloween candy because I had the closest guess. I guessed 68 and there were actually 67 in the jar.
We played several games of bingo and tried to win a 42" plasma TV, but came home with only a jar of candy.
After the picnic, we went to my niece's birthday party. While the kids bounced in the bounce house, the others played a few friendly games of corn hole.
We finally arrived back in town to meet Keith, Heather and Aysiah for dinner at El Tapatio. Stroker and I have decided that they are our new dining out partners.
Tomorrow is another busy day. We celebrate daddy's 72nd birthday tomorrow.

Tuesday

Guess what this is?!?!

It's the bug I found in my Zaxby's salad. And if that is gross enough, I only had a few bites left when I spotted it.
So, I am left to wonder how many of these little critters I am digesting.
I am soooo grossed out.

Sunday

Fall Break was anything but a "break"

Whew, what a week. It kind of feels good to know that school is back in session tomorrow and things will slow down a little around here. Last Friday night was the pizza party at the Titans bubble with the Titans cheerleaders and T-Rac.

Then there was our Orlando Adventure and Sea World visit.
Brookelynn was excited to finally arrive at the Hotel.
No matter where we go, we can't seem to escape Football.
Although it has been 5 years since our last visit to Sea World, it was just as we remembered, except for one addition...The Manta. It was an awesome ride.
We had a lot of fun and made brand new memories on this visit. We didn't get to see the Shamu show this time because Shamu had a baby calf on Saturday and she was still too busy bonding with her baby to put on any shows.  We did get to watch her and her calf swim together...it was so sweet.
The polar bear was not as energetic as we remembered him. He was too busy taking a nap.
Brookelynn said she thought he must have " low self exteem (esteem)" and didn't want to play. Brookelynn cracks me up with her philosophy on things.
The "Atlantis" ride is one of my favorites.

This photo was from the Seal and Otter Show.
I always like to watch the penguins.
Here is a 6 foot statue of "Woody" built of Lego's at downtown Disney in Orlando. I love that Lego store.
The day we got home Brookelynn went for a sleepover at her friend Jalyn's. I don't think Brooke took a day to rest during the whole two week break.
The day after she got home from Jalyn's, Brookelynn and I went on a shopping spree and almost finished Christmas shopping. We even got everything wrapped and ready to sit under the tree.
Yesterday, we took a short drive up through Static TN and crossed over into Kentucky. I guess you could say we covered 4 states this week.
I missed a baby shower yesterday, so we delivered our gift today and went by Trent's (my nephew) to deliver his house warming gift (that I am a few months late getting to him). Other than that, today was a day to rest and get ready for tomorrow.
Back to School.
