Last day of 2009

Here it is...the last day of 2009. I have been pretty productive the last couple of days. I have done a little shopping, paid utility bills, got some Christmas scrap booking underway, I even cooked dinner (which is a very rare occasion around here) last night.
Tuesday night, we met up with my sister and her husband for dinner at Cheddars. Tonight we plan to take part in our traditional New Years party at the home of my brother-in-law. I will definitely need to take a "power nap" sometime before we go. The kids have been out of school for two weeks straight and my husband has been on break from work for about eight days. "Cabin fever" is setting in.
Last night, Stroker and Devin met up with some guys at the college to watch the basketball game. Devin came home excited because he had won some money and a couple of t-shirts at the game. I'm glad they had a good time and also glad that I did not have to sit through that game. Brooke and I were left behind here at home to work on a couple of projects together. We also sat down and watched "Hannah Montana the Movie".

Photos from Christmas morning

6:30 am Christmas morning...Brookelynn came running into our bedroom. "Get up..Get up" she said. So we jumped out of bed and began our day.
I noticed a red bird sitting quiet and still as he peeped through the front window at our Christmas tradition.
Santa had brought the desk, paint, dry erase board and more for Brookelynn
A new robe for Brookelynn with her name embroidered on the front.
Fits perfectly
Another gift from Santa
A ZhuZhu pet
Santa brought Devin a new Flat Panel TV... a pair of Jordan's
and the marshmallow shooter he wanted.
Devin also received the toothbrush he had on his Christmas list.
Another Great Christmas...Happy Birthday Jesus!

Christmas Eve Photos

The Holiday's are passing by quickly. The photo's below are actually from CHRISTmas Eve at my moms. I thought I should get them posted before the New Year.

My Favorite Gift

Christmas Eve

It's Christmas Eve. I can hardly believe it. The time passes so quickly. I am thankful that I am not one of the last minute shoppers still fighting the crowds at the stores today.
We are getting ready to meet up with family at my moms this evening. The kids are very excited. I love to see them this way. It takes me back to when I was a child and how I would anticipate this day all year.
I remember when Santa visited me before I had even went to bed. How awesome it was to have Santa knock on the front door Christmas Eve night. Of course, that only happened a couple of times.

Monday

On the first day of Christmas...

Saturday night we watched "The Blindside" which was a great movie.
Sunday, we went to dad's for our second Christmas get together (Friday night with Erin was the first). We had a good food, awesome gifts, and spent quality time with my side of the family. I also had a hair appt at 7:30 last night.
I made quite a few pictures while we were at dads...

Saturday

Togetherness

So far this weekend has been full of activities. Friday evening Stroker, Devin, Brookelynn and I met up with Bucket, Jennifer, Christopher, Briana, and Libby at Logan's for dinner. After dinner we all loaded up and drove over to see the live Nativity which was beautiful just as always. We then drove around the county scouting for what we felt were good Christmas light displays. We had a good time, ate good food, and spent quality time with family. It doesn't get any better than that :) We wrapped Friday night up around 10pm.
Today was Jaidens 7th birthday party. We celebrated with her for three hours. She had a great time and she received lots of toys and PJ's (which is what we got her as well). After her party, Stroker, Devin, Brookelynn, Paradise and I met up with Gary, Darlene, Stacia, Jett, Brad, Micheala, Matasia, and Zander at O'Charlies for dinner. We too went to see one last viewing of the live Nativity. We finished the night by walking around Mr. Breeding's house to try and see all of his Christmas decoration, lights, and inflatables. .
