August...In One Post

So, August...where do I start.  As we all know, August is like the Sunday of summer. Here I am running the same race, trying to keep the same pace and another summer is slipping by before I even had a chance to celebrate springtime.

I'll be honest. I get depressed about father time and his stubborn tendency of leaving me in the dust.
This post is going to be to the point and in summary because as we all know...I don't have time for this blog anyway.  I'll try to list at least one accomplishment each day because surely we can all have at least one daily accomplishment to remind us that our day was not wasted.
Here Goes:
Monday, August 1, 2016:  Prepared a home cooked meal for my family.
Tuesday, August 2, 2016: Took mom to the doctor for her skinned shin,
assembled the new outdoor fireplace, cooked spaghetti for dinner. Brooke and Mary went to an ATMS game
Wednesday, August, 3, 2016: Went to Prayer service at church.
Thursday, August 4, 2016: No school today.  I voted. The mornings have been foggy. MG took this sunrise photo that I really loved.
Friday, August 5, 2016: Dinner at the Dipsy Doodle with church friends. We cancelled Brooke's outdoor movie night because of the forecast.
Saturday, August 6, 2016: Trip to Baxter. Daddy took everybody to Golden Corral to celebrate birthdays.
Sunday, August 7, 2016: Church, O'Charley's, visited mom & a trip to Livingston. Brooke went to the lake with Ella and went tubing for the first time.

Monday, August 8, 2016: Made Taco's for dinner because I am trying to do better at home cooked meals.
Tuesday, August 9, 2016: Filled in at the front desk at work. Took mom to the doctor for a one week check up on her scraped shin.  They poured beta-dine on it and had it stinging so badly that she couldn't walk on it. She fell on the sidewalk on the way back to the car and scraped her elbow. I finally got her back home and fed. I picked up Brooke from school. We finally allowed American Home Design to give us an estimate on a pergola because they call and beg us every week to let them give us a quote.
Wednesday, August 10, 2016: Church and dinner at Cracker Barrell.
Thursday, August 11, 2016: Took a drive on Salem Church Road. Sounds spooky, but it's not.
Friday, August 12, 2016: Brought mom to our house for a while. Brooke and Mary watched an outdoor movie.
Saturday, August 13, 2016: Tried to drink a glass of red wine. It was just as bad as I remembered it.
Sunday, August 14, 2016: Church, Outback for lunch and went to a Ruby Ribbon party.
Monday, August 15, 2016: Dried out two water slides.
Tuesday, August, 16, 2016:  Dinner at Cheddar's. Called dad and talked to him for a while, Drove by Byrd's new house and talked to him and L.A. for while.  Took the slide cover to have handles repaired.
Wednesday, August 17, 2016: Worked late, church and dinner at Cracker Barrell.
Friday, August 19, 2016: Dinner with Lee and Judy at the Dipsy Doodle. Got my newly repaired slide blanket back.
Saturday, August 20, 2016: Stroker, Brooke and I toured the parade of homes.
Sunday, August 21, 2016: After church, we went to Ansley's birthday party. Afterwords, we all went to Famous Dave's for dinner.

Monday, August 22, 2016: Went to moms. Had dinner with mom and Darlene.
Tuesday, August 23, 2016: Steaks on the grill for dinner and went for a pedicure.

Thursday, August 25, 2016: Cooked dinner at home.
Friday, August 26, 2016: Dinner at the Rose Garden. Brooke and some friends went to the Livingston game. We had to pick her up after dinner.
Saturday, August 27, 2016: Rained today. Made crock pot bbq chicken. It has been sooo hot out that it just creates pop up showers. Even Kenny Cat was burnt out by the heat wave.
Sunday, August 28, 2016: It was my day to do breakfast at church. We went to Olive Garden for lunch. Stroker and I dug out the area beside the patio to put flat rock in.
Monday, August, 29, 2016: Brought mom to my house for dinner (Taco Bell). Dried 3 inflatables.
Tuesday, August 30, 2016:  cleaned bathrooms, organized the shed, put rock by the patio, cooked meatloaf in the crock pot (wasn't very good).
Wednesday, August 31, 2016: Hung around the house all day.
Moms leg has finally started to heal.
