Short Work Week

Stroker, Devin, and I went to the movies over the weekend and seen Tyler Perry's "I Can Do Bad All By Myself". It was a good movie. Brookelynn went to a sleepover with one if her friends.
Looking forward to a short work week (just 4 days...yay me!). Ten of us are going to see "Disney on Ice" Thursday night. It will be great. Hopefully get a few things done around the house while we are off work Friday.

Sunday

Game Day !!!

What a blessing we received today. The forecast called for a 60% chance of rain and yet there was none at LP field. Although the Titans lost (again), Brookelynn had a fantastic time with her friends watching the game on the football field from the sidelines. (Stroker was sooo jealous). The halftime show was excellent. Brookelynn said that she was not nervous at all to perform in front of the 70,000 people in the stadium. Devin had an awesome time too. He was sooo excited to be there and he really got into the game.

Monday

Practice Makes Perfect

Titans training camp all weekend. Practice, practice, practice. Our entire weekend was consumed with trips to Nashville and a trip to Crossville to buy tickets for the game. This Sunday is the first home game of the year for the Tennessee Titans. Brookelynn will be center field at half time with the Michael Jackson remix routine. She is excited and ready. Devin enjoyed getting to be inside the Titans practice bubble last weekend. He and Stroker were enthused with the turf and the Titans Cheerleaders.

Thursday

Football..Football...Football

Didn't get to walk 2 days this week. Hopefully I can catch up tomorrow. My sister is wanting to take the kids to the fair tomorrow night, so it looks like "date night" again for Stroker and me (YaY!). We have a busy weekend ahead of us including 2 trips to Nashville to the Titans practice bubble. Brookelynn and Devin are getting very excited about the game next Sunday. Tonight, we attended the local college game which was a landslide for our team. Brookelynn studied the cheerleaders for a while, then her and her friends decided to practice their cartwheels. The Titans game is still on TV, so you can guess where the boys are. (Everybody in this house will be cranky tomorrow due to lack of sleep.) Oh,... sounds like the game is over now...time for bed. Goodnight.

Saturday

It's back...College Football Season :(

Stroker and I got up early this morning and went for a walk. When we got back, he took my car to get washed then brought it home and waxed it. This inspired me to vacuum and dust the dashboard. By the time we were done, it was lunchtime. The four of us decided to eat at O'Charley's
Of course we had to be back home by 2:30 because today was the first game of the season for the Wolverines. While Stroker and Devin stayed home to ramp and rave about the ballgame, Brooke and I treated ourselves to a girls afternoon out. We went to have pedicures, shopped around at a few stores, and spent unnecessary money.
Since we had a good "sit down" lunch at O'Charley's, we decided to have a "fast food" dinner and ate at Arby's.

Thursday

Ready for a Long Weekend

Looking forward to a three day weekend. Well, not really 3 days off. We have plans for all three days, but you know what I mean.
Let's see... I will try to recall some things that have happened in the last week aside from realizing that another month has passed right before my eyes. As I walk around the lake I notice how the leaves are beginning to turn shades of orange and gold. There is even the occasional "crunch" as I step on a few leaves that have already let go of the tree and fell to the ground. It seems as though every day I wake to sunshine streaming through the blinds then the next thing I know, I am walking in the sunset. Boy...Momma and Daddy were right when they said the older you get, the faster time passes.
Anyway, Brookelynn's class went to the YMCA this week and will go for the next couple weeks to have swim days. She also begins Jr. Titans cheer leading camp next weekend. She is very excited about getting to cheer at a Titan's game.
Devin has not felt well the last couple of days. He may be catching what Brooke had last Friday. She ran a high fever for a day and a half. Devin is looking forward to going to the Titans game too. I believe he is even more exited than Brooke.
Next time I post, I am going to try to have a photo to add. I don't know why I named this blog "My life in Pictures" when it seems that all I end up with is text.
