Number Seven

Today is our seventh anniversary.  The memories of our wedding day still seem so vivid. I can remember the warmth of the evening sun, the sound of my daddy taking a deep breath as he walked me up the pathway, and the look on Strokers face as I approached the alter. I hope I never forget the details of the day and the emotions that took place on June 2, 2003.
I don't know the people in the video below, but I do love what the preacher says at the alter...
for that reason, I wanted to share the video.

Water Logged

What a fun and exhausting Memorial Day weekend.
Our Holiday World 2010 adventure has came to an end. Our visit this year consisted of a few extra family members and friends. 26 of us to be exact. We have rode roller coasters, experienced water slides, took on the giant waves in the wave pool and everything in between. Most everyone brought home a sunburn souvenir. We have nothing but good reviews for Holiday World and Splashin' Safari. Where else can you go at such a great price and get free unlimited soft drinks all day long.
After searching for a good deal on a hotel with a pool, everyone was too water logged and tired to even go swimming (which was my prediction from the beginning).
I only caught a few photos of today's adventure.

Wednesday

I Found It!

I have been busy this week...I really have. But, for some reason, I cant seem to get anything accomplished.
I start one project and need something from another room and all of a sudden Attention Deficit Disorder kicks in. So I begin to clear the distraction and something else interrupts me.
During one of my many projects this week, I somehow ended up in the attic looking for a box to store an old mobile phone back in its original packaging. That is due to O.C.D. (another disorder that I suffer from).
Anyway, so while in the attic looking for the mobile phone box, I somehow ended up organizing 2 big boxes full of little boxes.
All of a sudden I spotted it...Devin's baby book. I have been looking everywhere for that. I noticed it was missing a few months ago and could not figure out where in the world it could be. I don't know how it made it all the way to the attic, but I was glad to see it. I spent another 20 minutes just sitting there reminiscing as I read about  Devin's cute little toddler moments. I miss his cute little Winnie the Pooh decorations in his room and all of his cute little expressions.
So, although my "to do" list has not a single item checked off this week, it was all worth finding Devin's Winnie the Pooh baby book and taking a stroll down memory lane.
Thank you Lord for leading me to it.

My little Devin...He was always into something.
I can't believe that tomorrow is his last day of junior high. Where does the time go?
It doesn't seem right to think that my Devin will be a high school freshman

Monday

Saturday Shuffle

I meant to post this yesterday, but I was just too tired.
Saturday morning our feet hit the floor running.  We had a few stops to make and errands to run before graduation started. We were so rushed that we almost forgot to stop by the bank to get the cash to go in the graduation cards...and I must say that was $150 well spent.
Graduation lasted about 2 and a half hours since the class had 560 graduates. We stayed afterwords to get pictures made with Christopher, but my stinkin' battery died on my camera.
Immediately after graduation, we headed straight to Tiffany's wedding. Well, we actually stopped by to pick up mom then went straight to the wedding. I was volunteered to do the videograghy so my apologies go out to Tiffany and Kendal in advance for how ever that tape turned out. I guess it is a good thing that it was only a 10 minute wedding. Everyone that views that movie will  have a headache by then  from all the movement back and forth down the isle and the constant zooming in and out.
The reception was fun and the music covered about every genre so everyone got to hear a little something from their own personal music style.
The reception ended with just enough time for us to take my mom back home and get to Christopher's graduation party at 5pm. Sorry, no photos from the party. Stroker and I had to leave for about two hours. The kids wanted to stay so we let 'em hang out with the family for a while. We were back by 10:30 and for some reason didn't head home till 1:00 am.
Sunday we rested most of the day, but decided to go out for ice cream at Marble Slab. We rode around for a bit then ended up back at Bucket and Jennifer's house planning a get away weekend with the Family.

Friday

Friday's Five

1. Went for my "hot stone massage today" (thank you Devin, Brookelynn & Stroker), which was terrific! Sooo relaxing. After words, I went by to have some wax work done. My plan was to get a manicure and pedicure too, but before we knew it, it was time for the kids to get out of school.
2. Stroker opted for a visit to the chiropractor today instead of a massage.
3. Dinner was at Zaxby's tonight.
4. Tomorrow is going to be a hectic day...Christopher's graduation at 10 am, followed by Tiffany's wedding at 2pm and her reception to immediately follow. (I am also in charge of videography). We will finish the day with a graduation celebration cookout at Bucket's house for Christopher.
5. Sunday we hope to rest.

Tuesday

Shopping Amnesia

We were up by 6am with our agenda in hand. Lots to do today. We got a few things accomplished. Including a $200 Lowe's shopping spree for a few items on our list. After only eight years at this house, we finally got a light to go in the shed (now to  install it). We also bought an air compressor for those pesky flats on the hand truck. The air compressor we bought even has a pressure gauge built in and it shuts off automatically so it doesn't over inflate (and pop) the tire. That would have came in handy a couple of months ago (LOL).
Brooke just had to have the strawberry planting kit, so we should have home grown strawberry's in a few weeks. We purchased a few other things too, but I don't remember what they were. Funny how you can spend a handful of money and then not recall what you bought. I think the shock at the cash register causes me to suffer from "post shopping amnesia", but that's just my theory.
Anyway, Darlene and her computer came by to visit around noon so we all went to lunch together at El Tapatio. The chips, by the way, were back to normal (no longer stale).  Darlene left her computer for me to format and reload Windows.
Stroker and I volunteered our services to "Heart of the Cumberland" this afternoon, but the kids had to leave early because a fine mist of rain began to fall...just our luck.
I just finished the computer format and reinstallation, so I think I will call it a day.
